Tega & Tula Specialty Coffee Farm is named after two nearby villages named Tega and Tula. This farm is located in Keffa, Ethiopia and is 500 hectares in size, of which about 400 hectares are planted with coffee, primarily cultivars created in the late 70’s with wild heirloom varietals mixed in. This coffee represents an exciting change in the coffee industry of Ethiopia, where since 2008 traceability to a farm was virtually impossible. Changes to the ECX system beginning in 2018 are slowly making it easier to trace coffees back to the villages and farms where the coffee was grown, and not just the region. Tasting notes are representative of the region and include stonefruit, tangerine, and honeysuckle.
