Antonio Andrade Pereira Filho and Maria da Conceição Costa Pereira started this farm in 1971 when they planted the first coffee seedlings. Flash forward 46 years and they now operate a farm that receives international recognition and multiple awards for specialty coffee production.
In a blind tasting of about a dozen coffees from various origins there were two that really stood out to us - both of which happened to be from this farm. We're offering the mixed lot that we think will make a really excellent cold brew for iced coffee, and a microlot (a lot separated from the others with outstanding flavor and quality characteristics) that we're really enjoying as an espresso, especially in milk. Tasting notes include cranberries, marshmallow, and fudge.
