Grown in exceptionally fertile soil and surrounded by an extinct volcano, this Papua New Guinea coffee comes to us from the Waghi valley. The smallholders for Kinmuga are located in the southern area close to the Wara Tuman, a large river that deposits nutrients from the mountains nearby.
These farmers bring their cherries to the Kindeng wet mill for processing. Since 2018, the mill has had a waste water digester, which enables environmentally friendly pulping and fermentation. The unique combination of peoples’ commitment, the natural environment and a high altitude tropical weather (1,600 meters above sea level) give this coffee its specific cup characteristics.
Smooth, buttery mouthfeel with a lingering, syrupy sweetness.
